Panda and his brothers were found wandering alone in the mountains; their mother had quickly run off. After tracking the puppies, we discovered their mother belonged to a nearby sheep farmer. The man was eager to get rid of the puppies and had left them outside his property. Four of the puppies came to us on the condition that their mother would be spayed; he had already given away a few others himself.
They were four frightened, malnourished boys; two of them even contracted Parvovirus but fortunately made a good recovery. Since then, they have blossomed in our care and now approach people enthusiastically.
Panda is the smallest of the four and likely had to fight for his food, as he defends it as if his life depended on it. He lost even more weight after contracting Parvo, but this healthy boy is now putting on weight nicely.
