Maria was rescued by another organization; she was heavily pregnant and gave birth the same night. A volunteer from that organization took her and the puppy’s home. Our help was asked for some puppies and these were also placed through us.
Maria stayed with the volunteer where she had lived on the balcony for the last 5 years. Due to illness, 3 dogs had to be taken away and because the other organization had no room for Maria, we took her.
Fortunately, for a dog that has lived on a balcony for 5 years, Maria has not lost faith in humanity. She likes everyone and everyone is greeted enthusiastically. She now walks perfectly on a leash and is already walking loose with us.
Maria was severely overweight at least 10 kg. In the meantime, she has already lost some kilos and her condition is already getting better, but she is currently still on a diet and the walks are slowly being built up.
Maria is good with most dogs on our property and with walking, but she does not accept all dogs and especially black dogs. Also because of the loneliness of 5 years on a balcony, we prefer to give Maria an owner without other dogs. An owner where she has all the attention for herself.
Maria can be placed in an apartment, but then there must be an elevator.
